Please let the readers know that the hotel seems to have a quota of how many they allow a day for the promotion. I tried to book for my father's 82nd birthday next week at The Line, they said it's full the moment I mentioned it's for the "Flash Your Age" promotion......diners beware!

Maybe its because they hear 82 yrs old then siao liao! Lugi..thats why full..hehe..yes just hv to beware...no one knows their quota skulli 1 a day. Then thats not promo liaoz
Yea, wanted to celebrate my bf's dad birthday too but apparently they are fully booked too... Hai, 5 days in advance wasn't enough...
We called the reservation hotline and was told that there is a quota for each day booking (confidential).
We have been advise to book 4 weeks in advance for this promotion... anyone need to book, please make sure you are early!
i just called shangri-la, wanting to book on april 1st for my dad's bday but the receptionist also said they are fully booked for all 5 dining outlets. grrrr....
i heard that the reservation can be made one month in advance and the hotline is always busy. maybe there is a lot of pp calling in to make reservations, and tats the reason why u cant get a reservation? try make ur reservation earlier lor..

@ Anonymous: Ha ha. This is funny. One of my friends tried to book a table at the Shangri-La for her dad's birthday & was also turned away because they apparently had a quota of 1 table (birthday promo) a day at The Line.

Thanks for all the comments. I will boycott this restaurant. If there is truly a promotion, it wouldn't be so difficult. there's much more better places to eat in Singapore :)

However, I think the Shangri-La probably didn't expect so many old folks to want to celebrate their birthdays there & have photo-ids with precise birthdates to show. Many old folks don't have actual dates of birth on their ICs but only the month and year of their birth.

Hey I went to Jing - it's not bad! It's impossible to try all the dishes, but maybe in a big group can.
Tempted to go for the Shangri-La one now...lucky I read about advance booking here. I think they will reject my MIL's 81st birthday booking too! lol

Hope you get your reservation @ Shangri-La. One of my friend's MIL celebrated her 81st birthday there so don't worry, they honour their promotion as long as you make your reservations in advance.
Went to The Line today on flash your age promotion.Must say even if there is a quota there were quite number of people on the promotion I counted about 20 near by.The 2 tables next me were 78 and 86 yrs.There was 1 group about over 35 people celebrating on the promotion.Pls keep up dated on any good deals.Thank You!
